Angel Tree Project – Winchester Prison

The Mothers’ Union often work with like-minded charities in supporting families in difficulty.
In Winchester we support Spurgeons Children’s Charity. Spurgeons provide support to the families of men held at Winchester prison, who are often badly affected by the imprisonment of a member of their family.
Spurgeons welcome help to run the Visitors Centre and Play Area, which is open every afternoon including weekends, with information, resources and signposting to local community services and activities.

Winchesters Mothers’ Union support Spurgeons by providing gifts which are given to the children of prisoners during Families Days which are held at in the prison just before Christmas.

If you wish to support this project, please contact our Diocesan Secretary, Sue Murphy, on 07514 024157 or secretary@muwinchester.org.uk.
